How did we get our start?

Over 20 years ago Hip Hop 50’s Shop had it’s first poodle skirt made for a Halloween costume. Enjoying the process Heidi posted them online expecting to sell only a few around Halloween, but she was surprised by the demand and now here we are with a brand focused on providing you with the best 1950’s inspired pieces.

What makes our products unique?

Our skirts, as well as many other products are hand made here in the US by our team of seamstresses. Each one is made with acrylic felt to emulate the classic look form the 1950’s that we all know and love.
