Nanoleaf has launched a Smart LED Monitor Stand with 102 customisable RGB lighting zones.
The riser adds ambient lighting to desk setups already crowded with peripherals, tackling a category that has traditionally relied on separate light bars or lamps clipped to a monitor’s edge.
Nanoleaf built the stand from solid wood with a natural walnut veneer top, measuring 100 by 22.5 by 12.1cm, giving it a footprint aimed squarely at desks that need both elevation and storage space underneath.
That footprint also carries genuine weight capacity, with the stand supporting up to 28kg without its central support column and 70kg with it, a range that comfortably covers even large ultrawide monitors. Beyond load-bearing, the 102 LED zones are split into two distinct functions: front task lighting rated at 550 lumens and ambient lighting rated at 480 lumens, letting users switch between focused desk illumination and a softer background glow depending on the task at hand.
Colour temperature spans 1,700K to 6,500K, a range wide enough to move from warm evening tones to cooler daylight-matched white, and the lighting integrates into the wider Nanoleaf app alongside the company’s existing panels and light strips.
That app-based control extends to voice assistants, with the stand working across Google, Alexa, Apple, and Samsung ecosystems, reflecting how ambient lighting accessories have increasingly required multi-platform support rather than locking users into a single smart home standard.
Physical touch controls sit alongside the app and voice options, allowing quick dimming adjustments without opening a phone or issuing a voice command.
The stand’s compatibility with other Nanoleaf lighting products also means it can slot into an existing ecosystem rather than functioning as an isolated accessory, extending synchronised lighting scenes from wall panels or strips onto the desk itself.
Nanoleaf’s Smart LED Monitor Stand is priced at $170 and is available now through the Nanoleaf store and Amazon, though only in the single walnut finish and one size. The pricing places it above basic monitor risers but in line with other smart desk lighting accessories that combine ergonomic elevation with integrated RGB control.
Nanoleaf has not indicated plans to expand the range with additional finishes or sizes, leaving the walnut veneer version as the only option for now.
