These are the best smart products we saw at KBIS 2026

KBIS, or the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, is a bit like CES, but focused purely on the home.

The show is attended by many of the biggest home brands, like Samsung and LG, and thousands of other exhibitors and attendees. We’ve been walking the halls to find the best tech, from smart tech to clever appliances.

So, let’s get to the winners…here are the products that impressed us the most on the show floor.

If you’re looking to complete a smart kitchen, then how about adding a smart range hood?

Fotile’s 5th gen smart hood is both a statement of design and a tech-lover’s dream, complete with Wi-Fi, Alexa compatibility and very responsive gesture activation that lets you open and close the hood without touching anything.

The icing on the cake is SynCook, a feature that connects the hood to certain cooktops or oven ranges and automatically activates the smoke extraction as soon as the cooking starts.

This smart fridge can keep track of your shopping list and ensure you never run out of essentials, thanks to an ingenious connected setup.

Thanks to the barcode scanner built in the front, this Kitchen Assistant-toting fridge can track everything you put inside it, logging everything in an app, building handy shopping lists and using AI to generate recipes depending on what you have. If you do run out of an item, a partnership with Instacart can get you a replacement in 30 minutes.

AI is everywhere, and now it’s even on your range cooker. LG’s latest addition to its expanding Signature line of high-end appliances is a tech-lover’s dream. It connects to the brand’s ThinQ service, has a large 6.8-inch LCD for easy navigation and uses an internal camera and an AI gourmet feature to ensure every meal turns out perfectly.

This smart Matter-enabled lock appears quite simple on the surface, but it’s packed with numerous key features that make it stand out in a sea of competing products.

The Select Plus supports NFC and Apple Home keys, so you can simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock it without needing an app or a hub. You can choose between the Matter protocol or Wi-Fi and the Kwikset app, while there’s all the usual smart home integration like Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home.

Elsewhere, there’s a bright LED backlit touchscreen for code entry and internal sensors to alert when a door is left ajar.

We don’t often cover ovens on The Ambient, but then it’s rare to see one with quite so much smart tech built in as KitchenAid’s latest beauty. This is a fully connected oven, one that can be controlled via voice, from your phone or from the clear and simple-to-use display on the front.

But the star of the show is the internal camera, which beams a view of your cooking straight to your phone so you can keep an eye on a bubbling lasagne or a batch of cookies from anywhere.

It doesn’t stop there though, as the camera can actually tell what you’re cooking and monitor your progress, automatically adjusting cooking time if required.

Whirlpool showcased numerous smart home advances at KBIS, but this top load washer really caught our eye.

It supports Matter, so it can easily become part of your already connected home without the need for extra hubs or additional accessories, and it can be controlled via your voice.

While it might not be as smart, we also loved the addition of the delicates basket – a removable internal basket for those items you want the machine to take a little more care of. No longer do you need to do separate delicates washes, and the basket can always be removed if you want more space.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
